Treefest Volunteers

Are you interested in being involved in Treefest 2008?

1) The Riverview Horticultural Centre Society is seeking volunteers to participate on the Treefest planning committee.

* If you are passionate about trees,
* like to coordinate and organize,
* are interested in graphic design for posters etc.
* or enjoy organizing volunteers this might be the committee for you.

Committee members will be invited to attend regular meetings (daytime) and will have an opportunity to build exciting community connections. No specific skills are needed, but roles may include;

* event promotion
* coordination
* running errands

2) Volunteers also needed for the day of the Event!

* Being a 'welcome' host
* Handing out event flyers
* Information booth assistants
* Giving directions
* Set-up on event day
* Running errands
* Parking

The 15th annual Treefest will be held on Sunday September 21st, 2008 from 11am to 4pm and is a Celebration of the majestic trees on Riverview Hospital Lands. Tours are led by arborists throughout the day. Local artists and musicians help to create the festive atmosphere, and various environmental groups provide interesting displays and activities for children.
